AGENDA

  1. Visitors, Public Comments, Possible Changes to the Agenda
  2. Approve minutes of May 5 and 19, 2026 (2 minutes)
  3. Action Items (5 minutes)
    • The Selectboard to possibly appoint a voting delegate for the VLCT special meeting
    • The Selectboard to possibly appoint Robert Lawrence to the Planning Commission for a 4-year term expiring in 2030.
    • The Selectboard to possibly approve the National Opioids Settlement in the amount of $4700 and allocate it to Brattleboro Turning Point.
    • The Selectboard to possibly adopt the Local Hazard Mitigation Plan Resolution
    • The Selectboard to possibly approve the quote to replace windows at Memorial Hall in the amount of $12,210
  4. Police Dept (15 minutes)
    • The Selectboard to possibly approve the purchase of a 2026 Dodge Durango in the amount of $42,000 and upfit costs of $13,000 from the Police Equipment Capital.
    • The Selectboard to possibly approve the policing contract with Whitingham
  5. 1% Local Option Tax (10 minutes)
    • The Selectboard to possibly approve the Friends of Memorial Hall request in the amount of $80,000
  1. Financial Update (15 minutes)
    • FY26 review
  1. Water/Sewer Budget (10 minutes)
    • The Water/Sewer Commission to review and possibly approve the FY27 budget.
  2. Liquor Commission (5 minutes)

The Liquor Commission to possibly approve

    • A Second-Class renewal for Starfire Bakery;
    • A First-Class and Outside Consumption renewal for Village Roost and Nutmeg Inn;
    • A First- and Third-Class and Outside Consumption renewal for the White House, Alpenglow and Hermitage Members Club; and
    • An Event permit for Arthouse on 6/20/26 from 2-8 pm
    • A Special Event permit for SC Distillation on 6/24/26 from 5-9 pm at Wilmington Inn
  1. Other Business/Correspondence
    • Complaint of alleged Open Meeting law violation and response
  2. Select Board Members Comments
  3. Town Manager’s Updates (5 minutes)
  4. Executive Session
    • The Selectboard to possibly enter executive session to discuss a real estate purchase and a revolving loan application.
    • Possible action from executive session
