Please be advised that beginning 10/27 ECI will be starting a project to remove the existing bridge pavement, installation of steel plates and re-paving with associated approach work.
The project is located approximately 0.1 miles West of the junction with VT100N.
A synchronized temporary signal and stop bar shall be installed west of the bridge for the Eastbound traffic on VT9. All traffic over BR31 will be reduced to one-lane for the duration of the project.
There will be traffic control and synchronizing signals.
The project completion date is November 14, 2025.

Wilmington, VT – A Public Informational Meeting for the project listed below will be held on Tuesday December 2nd, 2025, beginning at 6:00 PM at the Wilmington Town Hall second floor meeting room located at 2 East Main Street in Wilmington, VT. The meeting will be held by the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) and the Town of Wilmington.
State Highway Bridge Project:
- WILMINGTON BF 010-1(58), VT Route 9, Bridge 31 over the North Branch of Deerfield River
The intent of the meeting is to provide an overview of this project to City Officials, local residents and businesses, emergency services and other interested parties. There will be a review of the existing site conditions, proposed work, and overall schedule followed by a question-and-answer period. Representatives from both VTrans and the Town of Wilmington will be available at the meeting to gather concerns about the project.
