Highway Department, Building & Grounds / Transfer Station Attendant – Full Time | Split 50/50

The successful candidate is a dependable, self-motivated, hands-on person, responsible for the neat and orderly maintenance of municipal buildings & grounds, and transfer station. This dual role position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, ability to work independently in outdoor and indoor environments. Demonstrate effective community relations, interpersonal skills, able to operate related tools & equipment, assist residents, issue permits, and perform point-of-sale tasks accurately.  This position requires flexibility, ability to respond to “call-ins” on short notice, to work cooperatively and collaboratively, while providing highly responsible town services.

Swim Instructor/Lifeguard

The Town of Wilmington (VT) is hiring for lifeguards and swim instructors for youth group swim lessons midweek and Saturday mornings in Wilmington in the month of August 2025.  Red Cross CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard Certification required for lifeguards and Red Cross CPR, First Aid and Water Safety Instructor Certification required for Instructors. Pay commensurate with experience. Responsibilities to include:  Inspect and maintain equipment and materials to ensure they are in proper working order and report issues to appropriate staff, perform the tasks necessary to promote public safety via Lifeguarding, monitor activities to prevent accidents (enforce facility rules, caution swimmers regarding unsafe swimming activities, rescue any in need and administer first aid), instruct participants in water safety and swim skills according to ability. Applications can be found at https://wilmingtonvermont.us/government/employment-opportunities/
