  7. Hoot, Toot & Whistle (HTW) update
    • Getting estimate on fall cleaning new HTW bridges/boardwalks (1% fund request possible on 9/15/26)
    • Discuss trail user complaint on lack of handrail on stairs; estimate requested; possible request to SelectBoard for funding (Need vote on using Donorbox funds)
    • DRB project permit expires 9/29/2026 after 3 years; new permit application underway (Joanne); submittals to Zoning Administrator Alex M. & emails to VT DEC Floodplain manager Jessica Barsaleau/Rebecca Pfeiffer
    • Reviewed request to Gretchen for quotes from Saladino Property Maintenance (including estimates on muddy section in Segment 3 north of parking area); Segment 1 estimate to finish
    • Highway 59 – more clearly identify accessible route; Jeff to add sign on Riverwalk (“<Reardon Bridge/To Mill Street>”)
    • Recreational Trails Program (RTP) grant – Fall, pre-application materials end of September
    • Long-Term Funding for HTW Trail Maintenance/Maintenance Plan

    • Emails – Elynn is key person for website updating, email monitoring, googlegroups, etc. to work with Alan Baker (Update HTW Accessible description on website trail descriptions)
    • Mapping – Jeff Nugent (our mapping/GIS contact at Windham Regional Commission)
  14. New Business
    • Vermont Museum of Natural History – Wildlife festival on Sept 20 update
    • Order signs for new parking area: 1) Wilmington Trails 2) donations from GRH and Rotary Club of Deerfield Valley
    • General sign issues: Jeff’s trailhead signs and how to mesh with existing trailhead signage with trail names
    • Landowner Permission Form/Access agreement – Carol has finalized, on Google Drive
