INVITATION TO BIDDERS
Town of Wilmington – Reardon’s Crossing Ramp Improvements
Wilmington, VT

The Town of Wilmington invites sealed bids for the Reardon’s Crossing Ramp Improvements at 38 West Main Street, Wilmington VT in accordance with the Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents prepared by Stevens & Associates, PC, 95 Main Street, Brattleboro, Vermont.

Scope of Work: Construction of a retaining wall and asphalt ramp with handrail up to the existing pedestrian bridge as shown on the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. Neighboring buildings will remain occupied during construction. The project is expected to be substantially completed within 60 days of starting the project.

Bids: Bids will be received at the Stevens & Associates Office, 95 Main Street, Brattleboro, VT at 10:00 AM local time, February 15 at which time they will be privately opened and reviewed. If mailed, bids must be received no later than the time and date stated above. All bids should be sealed and clearly marked as “Town of Wilmington – Reardon’s Crossing Ramp Improvements” and as indicated in the instructions to Bidders. Bids shall be accompanied by a Performance and Payment Bond at contract signing and all documentation requested in the specifications.

Contract Completion Time: The Contractor will commence the work required by the Contract Documents within ten (10) to sixty (60) calendar days after the date of the Notice to Proceed, which is anticipated on or before April 1, 2023. Completion time for the project will be calculated as calendar days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed as follows: (1) 60 Calendar days for Substantial Completion, (2) 70 Calendar days for contract completion.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bid.

Plans and Specifications: Contract Documents will be available January 17, 2023.

Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may also be obtained in .pdf format only by contacting the office of Stevens & Associates, PC (PO Box 1586, 95 Main Street, Brattleboro, VT 05301), for no cost. Email requests for CONTRACT DOCUMENTS to tshulda@stevens-assoc.com. The Cost of reproduction and print of the documents is at the Bidders expense. It is the BIDDERS responsibility to notify Stevens & Associates, of their possession of the electronic CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. Stevens & Associates and the Town of Wilmington cannot be held responsible for information that is missing or addenda that has not been received by BIDDER that did not notify Stevens & Associates of their possession of the electronic CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.

Site Visit: There will be an optional site visit January 26 at 3:00 PM local time. Interested contractors should meet at project site. On-site parking is available.
