Request for Proposal – the Town of Wilmington Vermont

Town of Wilmington requests bids for the purchasing, planting and maintenance of the Route 100 Flower Barrel Program for the summer of 2018.

Proposal Specifications:

The Town of Wilmington maintains a beautification program along Route 100 that includes groupings of four planters (one large and three small) at four locations. Planter placement shall be determined by the Beautification Committee and Town Manager. The flowers should complement the two designs of the Route 9 flower barrels, one sun and the other shade. Approved contractor will work with the Town Manager and Beautification Committee in designing the appropriate types of flowers and colors.

Bid is to include:

-Flowers minimum 4” plants and planting media – Include the genus and species of the plants.

-Appropriate filler and planting the flowers.

-Explanation of the type of on going maintenance you would provide to the planted flowers.

-Planting to commence Memorial Day and end Columbus Weekend if weather appropriate.

-Cleaning up the flowers at the end of the summer season.

-Total cost for all work.

-Town of Wilmington will be responsible for placement and pickup of barrels.

Wilmington reserves the right to reject any and all bids; if it is the Town’s best interest to do so.

Insurance Requirements Upon Contract Approval:

Certificate of Liability Insurance in the minimum amount of $1,000,000 and either a Certificate of Workers’ Compensation Insurance OR a waiver form (hold harmless agreement) is required.  The certificate should name the Town of Wilmington as an additional insured for the work the contractor will be doing.  Federal W-9 Form will be completed and returned to Town, if applicable.
